Todays Artist Evaluation is on none other than …. XV! Mr.Fifteen in my opinion is easily one of the most underrated rappers in the game. After an onslaught of critically acclaimed mixtapes XV gets limited love on the hip-hop scene. As an XV fan I am aware of the singles that he’s been dropping off mixtapes and from the overall general leaks and while hes collaborated with the likes of Kanye West, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Cory Gunz, Ne-yo, Colin Munroe, Kid Cudi and more. Yet he’s been slept on popular hip-hop websites such as Defsounds, 24hourhiphop, 2DopeBoyz, and WorldStarhiphop.
Big K.R.I.T is the artist under evaluation under today. Krit is in an interesting situation as he is not necessarily underrated as much as he is on the verge of really taking the mainstream hip-hop world by storm. He has unleashed a vast array of songs and has hopped on the scene by working with popular artist producing for them and doing vocals. He is definitely on the come-up he just needs that one hit single and hes going to be on the road to being etched in hiphop history.
Three Jeers go to kanye west for being flubbed for Album of the year on numerous occasions. The Grammy award winning artist has been nominated for album of the year on all of his first three albums. College Dropout, Late Registration, and Graduation all lost to non hip-hop albums at one point or another. The last three albums 808’s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and Watch The Throne have not been nominated but have been up for Rap Album of the year.
